The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementation, and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, and coordination of care with other health team members.

Position details:

• Monday – Friday, 7:00 – 5:30
• 4 10‑hour shifts per week
• Southwest Cardiology St. George Triage

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Practice‑specific certification as required by the clinical setting (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills.
• At least 1 year of licensed RN experience.

RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within five years of their start date.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Cardiology experience.

• Prioritize and triage patient care needs.
• Implement established standing orders and protocols.
• Perform procedures and therapies consistent with training and licensure.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized plan of care.
• Direct care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration.
• Evaluate patient outcomes, revise plans, and reassess as indicated.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives (CQI, TQM, Lean, 100% participation).
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and comply with regulatory standards.

• Must see and read information; identify equipment and supplies.
• Verbal communication and listening during emergencies.
• Manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and perform documentation.
• Lift, transfer, and carry supplies up to heavy items.
• Assist with transporting patients and moving equipment.
• Stand in a stationary position for extended periods.

Intermountain Health St. George Regional Hospital – St. George, Utah.

Scheduled weekly hours: 40. The hourly range is $34.53 – $52.25, determined by experience.
