Water Mitigation Technician

Edge Restoration is seeking a Water Mitigation Technician to join our team. This role involves responding to water damage emergencies, performing water extraction, drying, and mold prevention, and conducting extensive demolition work as needed. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable and comfortable with physically demanding labor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Water damage Mitigation:
  Extract water, set up drying equipment, and monitor moisture levels.
• Demolition Work: remove damaged drywall, flooring, cabinets, and other materials to prepare for restoration.
• Mold prevention amp;
  Cleaning:
  Apply antimicrobial treatments and ensure areas are properly dried.
• Equipment handling:
  Operate air movers, dehumidifiers, and other specialized tools.
• Customer Interaction:
  Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, and insurance adjusters.
• Documentation:
  Record job progress using software and follow company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience in water mitigation or construction/demo preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable with demolition work (removing drywall, flooring, etc).
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
• IICRC Certification (WRT) is a plus, but training can be provided.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
