Join Cooke Seafood as a Junior Accountant in Saint John or Blacks Harbour, NB, and take your accounting career to the next level. This position focuses on accounts payable and supporting critical financial operations.
Reporting to the Divisional Controller, this role is ideal for candidates with a 2-year business degree and two years of relevant experience. You will play a key role in reviewing accounts payable transactions, completing bank reconciliations, and preparing working papers to ensure accuracy and compliance in our financial dealings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and post accounts payable transactions
• Execute timely bank reconciliations
• Prepare working paper files accurately
• Collaborate with the accounting team on various tasks
• Maintain high standards of accuracy under deadlines
Requirements:
• Minimum 2-year post-secondary education in Business
• At least 2 years of related accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills required
• High attention to detail and self-starting ability
• Capable of thriving in deadline-driven environments
