Introduction
The Division of Fish and Wildlife offers a variety of educational and outreach programs.Summary Statement
This position presents educational programs for hunter education. This position interacts with the public, assists with special events and helps develop new educational programs and educational materials. Job duties also include assisting with the care and maintenance of firearms and hunting related equipment. Work may be performed outdoors under various weather conditions.Essential Functions

Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.• Performs assignments with supervisor guidance and feedback
• Researches and develops new educational programs
• Modifies existing educational programs
• Prepares interpretive materials and other educational materials
• Manages program participants with assistance from intern or other seasonal employees with minimal supervision
• Presents educational programs
• Participates in special events and outreach activities
• May assist with drafting social media posts
• May oversee the work of volunteers and interns
• Assists with training and providing guidance for new seasonal staff, interns and volunteers
• Assists with facility cleaning and organization
• Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:1. Experience working with adults such as academic/athletic tutoring, camp counselor, youth volunteer, classroom assistant or education teacher.
2. Experience in using standard computer software programs for word processing, Excel or Publisher. 3.
Experience with public speaking or interpretation. 4.
Experience with hunting/trapping, firearms and archery equipment.
5. Possession of a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
