Accountabilities:
How You Will Make an Impact
- Perform Environmental Risk Assessments and related studies; all roles require analysis of technical results and report writing.
- Conduct SME reviews on environmental data, reports, or scopes of work.
- Prepare environmental assessment reports, specifically as they relate to impact assessment and nuclear safety and licensing.
- Work alongside customers to track overall initiative progress and communicate with stakeholders and leadership.
- Provide OPEX and industry best practices and insights to projects.
- Develop technical methodologies and estimates for client proposals. It is expected that the candidate is able to contribute to the development of proposals and other business-related functions.
- Conduct project team planning such that there is successful integration.
- Other duties as required.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology) or Engineering (Environmental).
- Ability to integrate technical inputs from various sources across multiple disciplines into cohesive technical assessments.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in:
- Environmental risk assessment
- Environmental characterization
- Environmental modeling
- Impact assessment/environmental assessments
- 10+ years of technical experience in industry or government. Experience in a highly regulated industry is considered an asset. Prior nuclear industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Canadian nuclear regulatory requirements and environmental regulations is an asset.
