Purpose:
Worley is seeking an experienced Plant Consultant to provide specialized expertise in power plant operations and training. As a Plant Consultant, you will play a vital role in advising on and optimizing simulation and training initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for, and role play in Canadian nuclear simulator exercises training.
  • Review and update training materials as requested by supervisory staff.
  • Conduct assessments of plant systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement to training scenarios.
  • Technical Expertise:

  • Offer expert advice on technical challenges related to power plant operations, maintenance, and performance.
  • Operational Excellence:

  • Advise on best practices for operations, improvement initiatives.
  • Review and assess plant procedures and protocols, recommending updates to enhance effectiveness of simulator training exercises.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Contribute to training sessions and workshops for plant personnel to transfer specialized knowledge and skills.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, sharing relevant information with the team.
  • Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal training stakeholders and external consultants.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and external training experts, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge exchange.
  • What you will bring:
    Technical and Industry

    Experience:

  • Significant experience in power plant operations and training.
  • Proven track record in providing training advisory services in the Canadian power generation industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry Simulators and operations training and examination techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

    Required:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Power Plant Operator in a Canadian nuclear facility, OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience in a Canadian nuclear training simulator is a must.
