Refrigeration Operating Engineer

Join Americold as a full-time Refrigeration Operating Engineer at our facility in Saint John, NB. This position specializes in operating refrigeration systems and ensuring optimal performance.

In this role, you will oversee the CO2 refrigeration systems, conducting thorough daily inspections and maintaining logs of operations. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and performing minor repairs while adhering to safety regulations.

Experience with CMMS maintenance software will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee operation of refrigeration control systems

• Monitor system performance and conduct inspections

• Enter daily readings into Oracle system

• Clean and maintain machinery to ensure efficiency

• Document maintenance and safety activities

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Diploma; post-secondary education preferred

• Class 4 Power Engineer or equivalent required

• Proficient in food safety standards (GMP, HACCP)

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to manage priorities autonomously
