Part-time Term (18.125 hours per week)

Location:
NBCC Saint John, Allied Health campus.
Salary Range: $33.85 to $47.70/hour (successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $52.08/hour, based on their level of post-secondary education).
Responsibilities
You will be collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair of Allied Health, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas may include, but may not be limited to:
Cardiorespiratory pharmacology
Pathophysiology
Neonatal and pediatric care (acute, chronic, and critical)
Neonatal and pediatric resuscitation protocols
Adult chronic care Cardiorespiratory assessment
Adult critical care Medical terminology
Critical reasoning
Research and communication concepts
You will be required to teach students in the classroom, lab and simulated clinical and actual clinical settings. You will also supervise students completing off-site clinical rotations. You will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.
Qualifications
Education/
Experience:
A minimum of a two-year diploma from a CMA or CoARTE accredited respiratory therapy program, or a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Respiratory Therapy) degree, or an equivalent.
You must be a registered respiratory therapist, licensed to practice with the New Brunswick Association of Respiratory Therapists.
The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of immunization and criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening.
Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.

Assets:
Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.
Preference may be given to candidates with a minimum of five (5) years of recent respiratory therapy experience.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.
