As a Solution Architect, you play an important role in supporting the design of business-focused application and tool solutions that enable business outcomes, while developing your architecture skills in a structured, supportive environment.

The Role

Reporting into the Enterprise Architecture function, the Solution Architect supports business solution design at the project level. You work alongside senior Solution Architects, Project Managers, Business Systems Analysts, and business partners to help translate business needs into clear, well-documented solution designs.

This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are curious about how applications, tools, and processes work together to support business capabilities and who are eager to grow their solution architecture capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business and system requirements into solution designs with guidance from senior architects.
  • Document solution options, application flows, and integration touchpoints using standard templates and tools.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with existing technology standards and architectural principles.
  • Support Project Managers and Business Systems Analysts in delivery planning and solution intent documentation.
  • Collaborate with Domain Architects to incorporate required technical standards (e.g., security, integration).
  • Participate in testing, validation, and issue resolution during project delivery.
  • Support Architecture Review Board (ARB) preparation and design walkthroughs.
  • Maintain solution documentation and support knowledge sharing across teams.

  • Experience & Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of experience in solution design, system analysis, business analysis, or related IT roles.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (students, recent graduates, or co-op experience welcome).
  • Experience using tools such as Ardoq, Visio, Lucidchart, Excel, or similar documentation tools.
  • Exposure to project delivery tools such as  is an asset.
