Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the dealership facilities. This role plays a critical part in supporting daily operations and ensuring a welcoming environment for customers and employees.
Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Cleaning Duties:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum dealership floors.
- Dust furniture, surfaces, and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock supplies.
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins regularly.
- Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Clean and sanitize technician stalls, removing grease, oil, and automotive fluids.
- Ensure safe and organized work environments for technicians.
- Properly dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
- Sweep and clean service drive areas, parking lots, and entrances.
- Remove litter and debris from sidewalks and dealership exteriors.
- Clear snow, ice, and debris from walkways as needed.
- Operate floor cleaning and maintenance equipment.
- Perform minor repairs, including changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing fixtures.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies; notify management when supplies need replenishment.
- Assist with setup and teardown for special events or promotions.
- Conduct touch-up painting and drywall repairs.
- Address minor plumbing and equipment issues.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and health regulations.
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or hazards promptly.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and techniques.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to complete tasks on time.
- Basic mechanical and maintenance skills.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety guidelines.
