Nucor Rebar Fabrication is hiring an Experienced Shear Operator to work in Saint John, NB. This vital role focuses on accurately cutting and managing reinforcing steel bars based on client orders.

The incumbent will operate cutting and bending machines, ensuring that all specifications are met as outlined in production tags and drawings. Your attention to detail and ability to handle physically demanding tasks will contribute to the efficient loading and unloading of materials. Key Responsibilities:

• Cut and bend reinforcing steel bars to precise specifications

• Read and interpret shop drawings accurately

• Use overhead cranes for material handling

• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment

• Collaborate with team members on production needs

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of relevant experience

• Proficient in operating shearing and additional fabrication machines

• Basic math skills necessary for measurements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when needed
