Cardiac Nurse

Position: Horizon Health Network Cardiac Nurse
Become a vital member of the Horizon Health Network as a Cardiac Nurse. This permanent part time role in Saint John emphasizes quality patient care and teamwork.

Located at the Saint John Regional Hospital in the 5BN Cardiac Services unit, this role calls for skilled nurses with experience in acute cardiac care. You will provide comprehensive nursing assessments, develop care plans, and ensure patient education is prioritized. Collaborative teamwork will be essential in delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute advanced assessments of patients referred to the cardiac services

• Manage documentation of patient progress using DARP

• Identify and address patient education needs around cardiac health

• Guide and mentor new nurses and healthcare team members

• Engage in continued professional development and quality improvement efforts

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nursing of New Brunswick

• At least one year of ICU or CCU experience necessary

• Current certifications in IV Therapy, BCLS, and ACLS

• Effective communication skills in English and basic French

• Availability for a rotating schedule, including night shifts
