About the OpportunityWe are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as aService Technician/Small Engine Mechanic. This is afull-time, permanent position that supports our shop operations by assisting with maintenance, repair, and servicing of equipment, tools, and vehicles.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of small engines, power tools, and various types of equipment.
- Support senior mechanics with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment testing.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and part installations.
- Clean, organize, and maintain the shop, tools, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Track and record maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Load, unload, and prepare tools or materials for job sites as required.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all work meets company standards.
- Assist with parts inventory, ordering, and restocking as directed.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely and effectively.
- Previous experience in a mechanic, shop, or maintenance-related role is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of small engine repair and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment or tools as required.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mechanics.
- Current/valid driver’s license and clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and diligent with a “make it happen” attitude.
