Refrigeration Service Technician

Overview

Job Type: Full Time

To perform regular scheduled service, maintenance, startups, troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of refrigeration and HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for promoting the continued growth of the service team to current and potential new customers as a field representative of Refrigeration and HVAC.

A qualified candidate will possess a New Brunswick Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Journeyman Certificate or Red Seal

• Install, service and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration, air conditioning units and combined heating, ventilation & cooling systems, and repair residential heating and cooling systems
• Troubleshoot onsite mechanical issues
• Perform routine maintenance, service and warranty work
• Interact with our customers
• Follow safe work practices
• Document work performed on service assignments
• Other duties as required to meet customer/business needs

• Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license with a good abstract.
• Own hand tools, tool pouch and steel toe safety boots.
• Ability to travel daily within the service area, with some travel to the outer regions as necessary (Company vehicle provided).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, with an on-call rotation to cover after-hours business calls.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts 5 days a week or 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week.
• Physical requirements of the position include lifting, pushing and pulling up to 100lbs., standing, bending, crouching, reaching, climbing ladders, working at heights and in tight spaces.
• The job is physically demanding and involves working on rooftops and with materials such as industrial glues, refrigerants and electrical components.
