Allegretti Architects is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Technical Designer specializing in Construction Documents.
Role DescriptionThe Senior Technical Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in St Joseph, MI. This position is responsible for developing detailed technical drawings, coordinating design intent with project members, and ensuring that architectural solutions are accurate, buildable, and aligned with project goals. Day-to-day tasks include producing construction documentation, reviewing technical specifications, and collaborating with architects, consultants, and contractors throughout all project phases.
ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership:
Lead architectural projects through construction documentation and administration.
Client Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision and needs are met throughout the design process.
Team
Collaboration:
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other design professionals. Mentor and guide junior architects and designers.
Design and Documentation:
Extensive experience with construction documents, independently complete CD sets to ensure compliance with building codes and environmental regulations.
Budget and Schedule Management:
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Site Visits:
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of construction. Occasional local travel is required.
- Experience:
minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience - Residential Project
Experience:
Demonstrated experience and a strong portfolio showcasing successful residential projects is a significant plus. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit and Rhino. - Soft Skills:
Clear communication, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. A detail-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving abilities. - Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of completed projects and design capabilities.
