Herzog Energy, Inc., is currently seeking a highly motivated General Superintendent in the United States to join our team.

• This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
• Oversee the management of construction activities and task assignments.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment and inspections support the project schedule.
• Work with Project Manager(s) to budget, forecast, and manage craft labor, equipment, materials, small tools, consumables, and general working environment.
• Ensure construction documents are reviewed for completeness and constructability.
• Lead the creation, review and update project schedule and three-week look ahead scheduling.
• Oversee the development and implementation of site utilization plan and establish crew sizes.
• Drive effective pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetings.
• Identify hiring needs and participate in hiring, discipline, and dismissal decisions if needed.
• Implement Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety Program at project site.
• Manage and lead open shop and union issues.
• Develop relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, etc.
• Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 14 years construction management or related experience.
• Experience working on different projects at the same time.
• Basic understanding of multiple Mortenson systems (i.e., labor, financial, safety, quality, scheduling, and planning).
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence; i.e., being aware of emotions and motivations of self and others.
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Ability to travel up to 100%
• Valid driver’s license.

• Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsements as required per position.
• Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
• Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

• Perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force.
• Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
• Occasionally ascend/descend step ladders and/or stairs.
• Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time.
• Regularly kneel, bend, and squat.
• Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
• Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
• Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).
