Herzog Energy, Inc. is currently seeking qualified Safety Coordinators across the United States to join our team.

• This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
• Implement and maintain the Site-Specific Health & Safety Plan (SSHSP) for solar farm construction projects.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments of active work zones (civil, mechanical, and electrical).
• Lead daily pre-task safety meetings, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) reviews, and Toolbox Talks with crews.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Standards, NEC/NFPA 70E, and company safe work procedures.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and Corrective Action Plan (CAP) development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety observations, inspections, and training attendance.
• Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, fall protection, and energization controls.
• Interface with project management, quality control, and subcontractors to ensure all work meets owner and regulatory requirements.
• Support emergency preparedness drills, first aid coordination, and severe weather procedures.
• Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction safety (renewable energy, oil & gas, or heavy civil preferred).
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required).
• CPR/First Aid Certified (or ability to obtain before mobilization).
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience with solar PV construction, racking systems, or high-voltage installation preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, JHAs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong documentation and computer proficiency (MS Office, Procore, or similar platforms).
• Must be willing and able to travel extensively to remote project sites.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

• Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsements as required per position.
• Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
• Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

• Perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force.
• Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
• Occasionally ascend/descend step ladders and/or stairs.
• Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time.
• Regularly kneel, bend, and squat.
• Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
• Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
• Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).
