A Bachelor's Degree and valid Missouri teacher certification in Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education. - Preferred: A Master’s Degree. Previous teaching experience.

PurposeMeets the individual needs of preschoolers and works alongside families to ensure proper preparation for kindergarten.
Essential Job Functions- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- To “telework” when requested by the District.
- Plan and prepare developmentally appropriate lessons based on district curriculum, student interests, and current data.
- Assess student progress towards curriculum objectives for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration.
- Collaborate with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes achieving established classroom objectives in support of the school improvement plan.
- Direct assistant teachers, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers and/or student workers for the purpose of providing an effective classroom program and addressing the needs of individual students.
- Facilitate preschool students’ learning for the purpose of improving the students’ academic success and transition to elementary school.
- Implement parent education program for the purpose of encouraging parent involvement and providing leadership to the program.
- Monitor students in a variety of educational environments for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with special education staff to support individualized instruction and behavioral intervention plans for students with IEP’s.
- Collect and monitor data related to student performance and progress.
- Follow Federal, State, and Local compliance plans.
- Other assigned duties.
