Missouri Western State University’s College of Science and Health, in partnership with the Department արվեստ Prof of Health Professions, invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in Strength and Conditioning. This position may be filled as either a non‑tenure track Professor of Practice or a tenure‑track Assistant Professor, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
We seek an energetic and collaborative educator who can serve as Program Director for the Strength and Conditioning program, teach undergraduate courses, support curriculum development for a newly launched concentration, and help guide the program toward CASCE accreditation.
EssentialJob Duties
- Demonstrate disciplinary and professional expertise with commitment to staying current in the strength and conditioning field.
- Develop, maintain, and teach courses in the department’s undergraduate programs using a student‑centered, applied learning approach.
- Contribute to program development and Council on Accreditation of Strength and Conditioning Education (CASCE) accreditation efforts.
- Engage in meaningful service, including academic advising, committee participation, and community or industry outreach.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and professional matters. < рах>
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field.
- To be considered for the tenure‑track Assistant Professor, candidate must have a completed doctorate; ABD will be considered.
- NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Credential required.
- Industry experience in a strength and conditioning‑related role.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Demonstrated ability and/or strong interest
112; applying industry knowledge to teaching. - Prior experience in program development aligning CASCE accreditation standards to workforce training.
- Record of professional engagement.
- Familiarity with instructional technologies (online & hybrid formats).
- Thrives on mentoring students and bridging classroom concepts with professional practice.
- Brings industry experience or strong industry connections that enhance student learning and program relevance.
- Enjoys developing innovative curriculum
