Benefit Program Technician - State of Missouri

The Family Support Division (FSD) is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be located in the Buchanan County Customer Service Center based at 525 Jules St, St. Joseph, MO.

As our Benefit Program Technician you will help Missouri citizens to receive food, medical, financial and nutritional assistance so they can live safe, healthy and productive lives.

• Complete eligibility interviews.
• Interpret policy and procedure to answer participant questions.
• Contact participants by phone to discuss their eligibility.
• Review documentation to apply to Family Support Division’s eligibility systems.

• At least 4 years of Customer Service experience or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Personable, compassionate and non‑judgmental attitude.

Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.

Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
