• This position greets patients, visitors and ascertains their needs, presenting a professional, courteous appearance. Registers patients timely and accurately online. Follows Patient Access standards to ensure adequate data collection and distribution.
• This position works under the supervision of the Manage rand is employed by Mosaic Health System.

• Registers or activates patient accounts timely and accurately, updating if necessary to ensure the integrity of the database, registers medical center outpatient, lab specimens, and emergency room patients.
• Obtains appropriate signatures for the following:
  Hospital Consent to Treat, Assignment of Insurance Benefits, Notice of Privacy Practice if applicable, Insurance pre-certification arrangements and financial responsibility, this includes contacting family, legal guardian, DPOA, or appropriate person when necessary for consent to treat.
• Routes patients to ensure proper tests are completed in the correct order to guard against treatment delay. Escorts patients and/or family to ancillary departments.
• Verifies Insurance Eligibility on every patient encounter. Collects deductibles and co-pay amounts from patients upon admission.
• Assures confidentiality of information regarding patients, hospital personnel and medical staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Medical terminology course preferred.
• One year customer service, medical office background preferred. Typing of 35 wpm is required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
