Infrastructure Engineer

Title: Senior Vulnerability Management & Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Remote (US-based; Open to relocation to St. Louis, MO or New Jersey area upon perm conversion)
Position Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (W2, 1099, or C2C welcome)

We are seeking a proactive Senior Vulnerability Management & Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Operations team. In this role, you will be ring-fenced to drive targeted security vulnerability remediation across our hybrid server infrastructure (AWS, Azure, and on-premises VMware).

• Proven experience interpreting and acting on Tenable vulnerability findings.
• Familiarity with fleet and endpoint management solutions (e.g., Manage Engine Endpoint Central / Zoho, SCCM, or similar tools).
• Scripting & Automation:
  Strong scripting capabilities (Power Shell, Python, or Bash) to automate configuration changes, deploy custom hotfixes, and handle non-standard registry edits.
• OS & Security Fundamentals:
  Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration, Active Directory, registry structures, GPOs, and enterprise patching frameworks.
• Problem-Solving & Mindset:
  Strong analytical mindset focused on systemic resolution (root-cause prevention) rather than superficial, short-term patching.

• Experience working with Atlassian products (Jira / Confluence) for ticketing and workflow tracking.
• Prior experience designing automated integrations between vulnerability management scanners and IT service management tools.
• Relevant security or cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certifie
