Manufacturing Engineer, Machine Operator
What You'll Do
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of machinists, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate production.
- Plan and assign workloads to support customer requirements and production schedules.
- Provide technical guidance and support on machining processes, setups, and equipment operation.
- Train, mentor, and develop machinists, fostering growth in technical skills and problem-solving.
- Monitor workflow and quality, addressing issues quickly to minimize downtime and rework.
- Partner with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure parts meet specifications and timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient machine shop environment.
- Education/Experience
:
High school diploma or GED required. Technical degree or journeyman machinist certification preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. - Skills
:
Strong knowledge of machining principles, blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measuring equipment. Effective leadership, coaching, and communication skills. Ability to organize work, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. - Other Requirements
:
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
