Paint Production Supervisor

Van-Am Tool & Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Paint Production Supervisor to oversee our Paint & Powder Coat Operation on both day and night shifts
. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team to achieve performance goals. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial finishing, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities for the Paint & Powder Coat Operation on both day and night shifts.
• Ensure quality standards are met for painted and powder-coated products.
• Monitor workflow, adjust staffing as needed, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members to maximize performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain and enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
• Track production metrics, report performance data, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of painting and powder coating equipment.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or finishing environment.
• Strong background in paint and powder coating operations

• Experience with production scheduling, quality control, and process improvement.

• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Experience with industrial paint and powder coating applications

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
  .

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the production facility for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Exposure to paint fumes, powder coating materials, and varying temperatures

• Manufacturing facility with day and night shifts

• Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and adaptability.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) required in designated areas.
