Orthopedic Registered Nurse

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, evidence-based care across diverse patient populations, coordinating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, medication administration, patient education, and thorough EHR documentation. • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in diverse clinical settings
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following Mercy and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes promptly
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and self-care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHR
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and policy compliance
• Support orientation and mentoring of peers and students as appropriate

• Active RN license or eligibility for licensure in state of practice (or GN permit as applicable)
• Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtained within specified timeframe
• Specialty certifications (e.g., PCCN, CCRN, CEN, or Med-Surg) preferred based on unit
• Experience with EHR systems preferred
