Overview

Optimum is hiring for a Retail Sales Consultant. We are a leader in connectivity, and we seek enthusiastic professionals to join our team. As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will be part of one of the largest sales channels in the company, building connections with customers, exceeding sales targets, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will become an in-store brand ambassador focused on selling our connectivity solutions and creating lifelong customers through excellent service.

Responsibilities
  • Connection builder:
    Be the first point of contact for customers, creating a positive and welcoming environment. Engage with customers, listen to their needs, and provide personalized guidance to help them find the right products and services.
  • Store Expert:
    Maintain a deep understanding of our products and services; stay up to date with industry trends to educate customers and recommend the best solutions.
  • Problem Solver:
    Assist customers with billing and service questions, process payments and equipment issues, troubleshoot technical problems, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Brand Ambassador:
    Represent the Optimum brand with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm in all interactions.
  • Team Builder:
    Collaborate with colleagues to ensure an exceptional customer experience, share knowledge, and provide backup support when needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of retail selling experience.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient computer and technical skills to support customer solutions.
  • For some locations, ability to travel to other stores within 35 miles may be required and will be discussed at interview.
  • Physical abilities:
    Standing for prolonged periods; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work full-time and weekends as necessary.
