, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll accounting, financial reporting, and compliance across the organization. This is a collaborative and analytical role where precision, judgment, and customer focus come together.

You will support payroll‑related accounting activities through detailed analysis, reconciliations, and reporting while partnering closely with Payroll, Finance, and Shared Services teams. Your work will help ensure payroll transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger, discrepancies are resolved efficiently, and processes continue to evolve to meet business needs.

This role offers exposure to end‑to‑end payroll accounting processes, opportunities to influence continuous improvement, and the potential to expand scope by supporting or providing guidance on Canadian payroll accounting activities. • Reconcile payroll‑related general ledger accounts
• Prepare and submit journal entries and payroll‑related accruals
• Analyze and true‑up vacation and benefit balances
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, audit findings, and compliance issues
• Partner with Payroll and Finance to support accurate and timely reporting
• Review payroll compliance documents, including ROEs and workers’ compensation records
• Support year‑end activities, including T4, R1, and 2200 reporting
• Contribute to process improvements and maintain payroll accounting SOPs

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll accounting or related accounting roles
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll and accounting practices
• Experience with ADP Global View or similar payroll systems
• Bilingual in English and French
• Strong ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
