As an assistant controller, you will support the controller in driving financial excellence, improving processes, and providing strategic analysis to senior leadership. Your role will involve leading teams, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to the company’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month‑end and year‑end close processes.
  • Prepare complete financial statements.
  • Coordinate and support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
  • Monitor banking activities and cash flow to maintain healthy liquidity.
  • Analyze cost variances and provide meaningful financial insights.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare year‑end audit files and liaise with external auditors.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and enhancing accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting Certificate, or CPA in progress.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Experience with in manufacturing, food, or distribution environments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
