Design EIT​/Coordinator; Water

• Create planning level, preliminary and detailed designs of water‑focused systems under the instruction of a Project Engineer.
• Prepare deliverables, write specifications, conduct analysis and modeling, determine design methods, size equipment and select components, and work directly with clients to deliver an outstanding experience.
• Perform quality assurance and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables.
• Apply design engineering and modeling techniques for drinking water projects for federal, state and local municipalities.
• Hydraulic modeling of water and wastewater systems:
  • Develop hydraulic models using GIS data and as‑built drawings.
  • Collect and assess field data for model calibration.
  • Analyze flow, demand, population, water quality and facility condition data.
  • Use software such as Info Water, Info Sewer, Info Works ICM, InfoSWMM, XPSWMM, Sewer
    
    GEMs, Water
    
    GEMs, EPANet and ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro.
  • Research technical product information, design codes and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare technical reports and master plans, including text, tables and figures.
• Prepare plans and specifications for water and wastewater treatment, distribution piping, collection systems and associated facilities.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Candidates without an EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator role and are expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional or educational experience in water or wastewater engineering.
• Hands‑on experience in water and sewer master planning, hydraulic modeling, asset management, infrastructure renewal, capital improvement analysis, cost analysis and data management.
• Experience with a public, municipal or investor‑owned water and/or wastewater utility, public works department or engineering consulting firm is beneficial.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Experience analyzing and designing water‑focused systems.
• Experience with production, simulation and automation tools such as BIM systems and numerical modeling platforms.
• Team‑oriented work ethic.
