HDR is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Building Engineering Services Business Group located in Minnesota. Our team is an integrated facility and infrastructure design team consisting of core services of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural and Site Civil Engineering. While we work in a wide variety of markets, this role will be focused on Tech/Media/Telecom, Data Centers, and Mission Critical buildings and infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Coordinate work of single or multi-discipline teams throughout the project's life cycle (from development and initiation to close-out), while under supervision of a Project Manager.
- Responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project.
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
- Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed‑to budget and schedule.
- Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
- Implement QA/QC procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- PMP certification.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software.
- Experience designing complex and large‑scale healthcare, laboratory, and/or mission critical data center facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5 years related experience.
- Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
