Medical Receptionist at Park Nicollet Health Services
The Medical Receptionist provides front desk support, patient scheduling, and clinical office coordination to ensure quality service and a smooth patient experience.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and provide clerical support at the front desk.
- Collect co-pays and assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Support departmental clerical duties as needed.
- Assist in providing timely and courteous service to patients and support other department/site operations as required.
- x10 8-hour shifts in a 2 week pay period. Consistent weekends and rotating holidays.
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: 6 months related experience
- Licensure/Registration/Certification: NA
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Accurate computer/keyboard skills; knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure patient safety; proficient in operation of telephone, headset, PC, printer, photocopier, and fax machine.
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Some medical background preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication; good customer service and human relations; listening and telephone etiquette; medical terminology knowledge desirable; ability to collect copays; promote patient relations and confidentiality; ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment; ability to sit and key for long periods.
