Senior Substation Project Manager

Join HDR as a Senior Substation Project Manager and lead engineering projects that power our communities.

In this role, you'll manage multi‑discipline teams and large, complex projects, coordinating all aspects from initiation through close‑out.

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee large multidisciplinary projects or medium‑sized projects with high technical complexity, often involving a large project staff.
• Produce and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
• Establish and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project life cycle, ensuring completion of deliverables on schedule.
• Track financial aspects and adjust work effort to remain within budget and schedule parameters.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations and Business leadership on periodic project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures.
• Supervise large project staffs and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• Active license/certification.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with Primavera P3 or Sure Trak.
• Experience with Prolog.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management software.
• Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Commitment to active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
