Communication Strategist (Water Business Group)

Responsibilities- Develop content marketing strategies and communication plans for initiatives and projects.
- Lead global and local communication strategies with business partners, creative, marketing, and communications teams.
- Assist in developing and managing an editorial calendar.
- Work with subject‑matter experts to write white papers, feature articles, thought‑leadership pieces, and social‑media posts.
- Ghost‑write and edit blogs, social‑media posts, papers, and presentations.
- Help develop collateral and marketing campaign materials.
- Research, write, and edit project narratives and case studies.
- Monitor industry best practices and maintain a repository of trends.
- Support event management as required.
- Bring genuine, creative ideas to the table.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field.
- Previous consulting or creative agency experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in communications (social media, event planning, community engagement, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated; can work independently and with multiple teams.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills with a positive outlook.
- High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues.
- Commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
- Comfortable working with senior leaders and managing cross‑functional efforts.
- Ability to operate strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and HDR values.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

$48,699 – $92,760 per year, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
Location & SchedulePrimary:
Omaha, Nebraska. Other locations include West Virginia, North Carolina (Charlotte), Minnesota, Wyoming (Cheyenne), and more. Full‑time, regular employee.
