Nurse Practitioner- Contrast Coverage

Job Description: RAYUS now offers Daily Pay! Work today, get paid today! The pay range for this position is $92,600-$144,700 based on direct and relevant experience. RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Nurse Practitioner for contrast coverage, you will be responsible for screening and preparing patients for their procedure and administering and monitoring medications for patients in an outpatient setting.

Participates in all aspects of patient care as indicated. This is a casual position working various day, evening and weekend shifts at our Twin Cities centers.

(85%) Patient Care

• Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
• Screens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra‑indications and for MRI safety
• Reviews patient history and completes appropriate consent forms as needed
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments (i.e., contrasts) in accordance with approved standards and regulations for care
• Utilizes competent IV start skills
• Responds to life‑saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
• Participates in an efficient workflow to assist keeping CT and/or MRI on schedule
• Assures proper documentation in the EMR system

(10%) Administrative Duties

• Complete all required administrative duties
• Maintain a clean and stocked work environment
• Maintain stock in drug box

(5%) Performs related work as assigned

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• NP License and certification, current and in good standing
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
• Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

• Bilingual
