Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Cardiovascular Advanced Care team! As a Partner for Good, you will help make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary: The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers. The Advanced Care Unit is a 20‑bed unit that serves acute and/or chronically ill patients requiring close observation, management, and monitoring. We care for patients having acute MI’s, unstable arrhythmias, or requiring temporary pacemakers, respiratory distress requiring BiPAP or high flow, medical patients such as GIB, DKA, or pulmonary hypertension.
We also care for vascular surgical patients such as CEA’s, LE bypass, and endovascular AAA. Nurse‑patient ratios 3:1 or 2:1. Individualized orientation for each new hire, ECCO, and ACLS certification.
Work Schedule: 0.7 FTE, Overnight 8‑hour shifts & every other weekend.
Required Qualifications:
- Current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
- Or be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, meaning completion of first‑quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently validated CPR skills.
