Navigator, Oncology Nurse

Overview

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Nurse Navigator to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, coordinates and manages care for suspected or newly diagnosed cancer patients. Demonstrates a caring, competent manner to instill patient confidence and contribute to an environment that is centered on the needs of patients and families. This position is vital to ensure coordination of care through a multidisciplinary approach and collaboration with Nurse Navigators throughout the cancer care program.

Empowers physicians and patients in decision support related to cancer and advanced cancer diagnoses.

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
  Associate degree in nursing with 5 years’ experience in oncology care is required.
• Experience with or willingness to become educated about specific cancer diagnosis related to navigation.

• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or willing to obtain within 1 to 2 years.
• License as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• Licensed or ability to receive licensure in Wisconsin.

• Proven proficiency in the operation of the following:
  Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.

• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: BSN with 2-3 years of experience in oncology care preferred.
