Job Summary

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Associate to join our Accounting team and help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations. In this role, you’ll process invoices, match purchase orders, verify account coding, audit freight charges, and support the flow of accurate vendor payments. You’ll collaborate regularly with teammates across the organization, partner with external vendors to resolve inquiries, and maintain high standards of compliance and financial accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently in the accounting system.
  • Assign correct general ledger account coding to all invoices.
  • Review and match tickets with purchase orders, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Organize invoices for multiple payment methods including checks, wires, and ACH.
  • Follow up on inquiries, issues, and outstanding invoices from vendors and internal teams.
  • Research unmatched receipts and support resolution.
  • Audit freight invoices for accuracy.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant general ledger accounts and company policies.
  • Assist with additional projects as needed.
Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

1 to 3 years of experience in data entry, invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and supplier file management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a dynamic, highly interactive environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); pivot tables a plus.
  • Experience with accounting or database software preferred (Lawson M3).
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems proactively.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team‑based environment.
