Kforce's client, a highly regarded educational institution, is seeking an Accountant to join their finance team in Saint Louis, MO. You will shape financial strategy, drive operational excellence, and support a passionate team that's making a difference every day.

• Owner of the full‑cycle billing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance for grants and financial data
• Deliver timely, insightful financial reporting and strategic guidance to leadership
• Lead client communications for billing, onboarding, and collections with professionalism and empathy
• Drive process improvements, recommend internal controls, and support audits and accreditations
• Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly billing metrics and grant reports to support decision‑making
• Contribute to annual budget preparation, forecasting, and long‑term planning
• Provide cross‑training and support to team members, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3–5 years of experience preferred (nonprofit or healthcare a plus)
• Strong working knowledge of accounts receivable, billing, grant compliance, and GAAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Quick Books Online, and related accounting software
• Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Commitment to confidentiality, reliability, and making sound financial decisions
