Audit Senior Associate – Public Accounting
St. Louis, MO (Hybrid) | $80K–$100K base + seasonal overtime + strong benefits package
We’ve partnered with a reputable mid‑sized public accounting firm that’s built a strong name in the St. Louis market for its collaborative culture, client trust, and long‑term employee growth. The firm offers full-service audit, tax, and advisory solutions to clients across construction, manufacturing, nonprofit, and real estate industries — combining the personal touch of a local team with the resources of a national network.
This is a great opportunity for an Audit Senior Associate ready to take ownership of client engagements, lead staff, and continue developing toward management in a flexible and supportive environment.
What You’ll Do- Manage audit, review, and compilation engagements across a diverse portfolio of clients
- Supervise and review staff work, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Conduct fieldwork, perform audit testing, and prepare detailed audit findings
- Research complex accounting issues and propose practical recommendations
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the audit team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)
- 3+ years of public accounting experience focused in audit/assurance
- Experience managing or reviewing other staff (“in‑charge” or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, audit methodology, and internal controls
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Commitment to teamwork and client service excellence
- Competitive base salary ($80K–$100K) + paid seasonal overtime
- 4 weeks PTO + 2 floaters + 8 holidays
- Hybrid schedule after 60 days (3/2)
