As a Senior Accountant, you will provide leadership in the support, review, and reconciliation of central accounting processes.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay: $80,000 - $85,000/year
Essential Job Functions- Perform month-end close activities, such as preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with sales tax, annual reporting, and other filings based on various federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyze financial statement information in conjunction with FP&A and explain/resolve variances.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
- Support the annual audit and tax processes by providing documentation and responding to inquiries related to your areas of responsibility.
- Identify, document and implement accounting policies and process improvements.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects assigned by management.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting with track record of increasing responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or Master's degree.
- Professional certification such as CPA is a plus, but not required.
- Proficient in using Net Suite software preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, strong Excel, and other general office equipment.
- Strong knowledge of balance sheet, income statements, cash flow, A/P, A/R, and banking.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to proactively research, ask questions, and resolve problems.
- Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
