Accounts Payable Clerk

Robert Half Finance & Accounting has partnered with a growing organization in St. Louis City seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in managing the company's accounts payable function, ensuring vendor invoices are processed accurately and payments are made timely. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting the CFO and finance team.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

· Maintain PO logs and payment ledgers for factory shipments while tracking data for Finance and Logistics teams

Process, code, and upload credit card transactions and high-volume vendor invoices with a high degree of accuracy

· Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents

· Prepare and execute weekly payment runs including ACH payments, wire transfers, and checks

· Research and resolve billing discrepancies, pricing variances, and missing approvals with vendors and internal departments

· Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and vendor statements on a monthly basis

· Assist with month-end close activities, including AP aging reports and expense accrual calculation.

· Maintain vendor records, collect W-9 documentation, and assist with annual 1099 reporting requirements

Accounts Payable Specialist

Minimum Qualifications:

· Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred

· 2+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience required

· Experience in performing invoice processing, account reconciliations, and payment processing

· Experience with ERP systems;
Blue Link experience preferred

· Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables

· Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
