** Nidec is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
** Internal Audit Co-Op
** to join our Internal Audit team. This position provides hands-on experience supporting financial, operational, and compliance audits while developing a strong foundation in internal controls, risk management, accounting, and corporate governance.  Working alongside experienced audit professionals, the Internal Audit Co-Op will participate in audit activities across various business functions while gaining exposure to a global manufacturing organization.  ## What You'll Do
* Assist in all phases of internal audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up activities.
* Test financial and operational controls through inquiry, examination, observation, and re-performance procedures.
* Support the preparation of audit work papers, ensuring testing is properly documented and supported by appropriate audit evidence.
* Assist in executing audit procedures by developing an understanding of business processes, related risks, and key controls.
* Gather, organize, and analyze data to support audit testing and conclusions.
* Document audit results, observations, and supporting evidence in accordance with Internal Audit standards.
* Participate in the implementation and monitoring of corrective actions and process improvements.
* Follow up with process owners regarding the status of audit findings and remediation plans.
* Assist with quarterly and year-end testing activities performed in support of external auditors.
* Evaluate corrective actions taken to address audit findings and verify that identified risks have been appropriately mitigated.
* Support special projects and other audit-related activities as assigned.  ## What We're Looking For###

Required Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and auditing concepts.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills, including active listening skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.###

Preferred Qualifications
* Interest in pursuing CPA, CIA, CFE, or related professional certifications.
* Prior internship, Co-Op, or relevant coursework in accounting, auditing, finance, or internal controls.
