Adams & Martin Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant in St. Louis, MO. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the legal field. The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and paralegals, ensuring the efficient operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain legal documents, files, and correspondence.
  • Assist with drafting basic legal documents such as letters, memos, and forms.
  • Schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions; manage calendars for attorneys.
  • Conduct preliminary research and gather information for cases.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and client inquiries professionally.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
  • Perform general office duties, including filing, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Prior administrative experience in a legal or professional setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
