As a Portfolio Support Associate at Arch Grants, you’ll play a key role in connecting our portfolio companies with meaningful opportunities, industry partners, and capital resources. You will support the execution of strategic programs and events — including the Innovation Summit — while cultivating corporate, investor, and industry relationships that strengthen the Arch Grants network. This role blends research, prospecting, and relationship-building to ensure founders are well-supported and Arch Grants continues to serve as a connector across Missouri’s innovation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Prospecting- Prospect, identify, and qualify corporate, investor, and industry relationships to support Arch Grants portfolio companies, with a focus on high-growth sectors such as Geospatial, AgTech, and Advanced Manufacturing.
- Research and develop new industry and vertical partnerships that connect founders with relevant partners, customers, and experts.
- Conduct market and partner research to identify potential collaborators, sponsors, and investors aligned with Arch Grants’ mission.
- Maintain strong awareness of founder needs and industry trends to anticipate opportunities for engagement or partnership.
- Support the Leadership Team in managing and expanding the Corporate Advisory Council, including scheduling, communications, and engagement follow-up.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, and industry organizations.
- Manage and maintain the Connection Portal, ensuring founder requests, introductions, and partnership activities are accurately tracked and followed through.
- Coordinate with corporate sponsors and partners to drive participation in key Arch Grants events and initiatives.
- Serve as lead coordinator for the Innovation Summit, managing founder deliverables and presentation materials, and securing corporate sponsors and attendees.
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure a cohesive and successful event experience.
- Support event management for investor education programs, founder-facing events, and partnership activities, including logistics, communication, and post-event follow-up.
- Partner with founders to ensure professional, client‑ready presentation materials and alignment with event expectations.
- Collaborate with Portfolio support team to ensure alignment between founder support and partner engagement efforts.
- Support internal coordination with founders, helping manage deliverables, communications, and introductions to industry partners.
- Ensure data collection and tracking across partnership and founder interactions are organized, complete, and report‑ready.
- Help maintain strong collaboration between Arch Grants staff and external partners to maximize value for portfolio companies.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, event coordination, or program support.
- Demonstrated interest in startups, high-growth companies, and investing.
- Strong research, organization, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain quality under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Comfortable networking, building relationships, and representing Arch Grants in professional settings.
- Positive, proactive, and collaborative attitude with a genuine curiosity about innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Full-time, in‑person role at Arch Grants headquarters (St. Louis, MO)
- Occasional evening/weekend availability for events
- Ability to lift/move up to 25lbs (e.g., room setup, event supplies)
