Payroll​/Receivables Specialist

After 36 years with our organization, our Payroll/Receivables Specialist is retiring. We are searching for a replacement that can spend time being trained by her before she rides off into the sunset. • Process biweekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now for 225 hourly and salaried employees.
• Upload employee retirement plan contributions into vendor system after each payroll.
• Maintain confidential payroll files.
• Receive and scan deposit contributions daily. Present reports and scanned checks to the Development (Fundraising) Department.
• Analyze and post all receivables, including rescue and investigation unit restitution, ranch, education programs and various other payments.
• Pick up daily activity from adoption center drop safe and medical center drop safe, and store in Finance department safe until processed.
• Balance and post Adoption Center daily activity.
• Balance, import to Solomon and deposit daily transactions from gift shops in our three locations.
• Coordinate petty cash box, including balancing regularly and reordering cash as needed. Distribute petty cash to employees as requested.
• Maintain department permanent files.
• Be a part of the team that fills in for our Purchasing/Warehouse Specialist when he is out of the office.
• Assist in the preparation of year end audit schedules.
• Prepare annual 1099 forms.

• A minimum of two years of experience processing payroll, ADP experience is preferred.
• Some accounts payable or receivable experience
• Detail orientation.
• The ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with other coworkers/departments.
