Associate Project Manager – Guarantee Electrical Company
Join our team as an Associate Project Manager where you will coordinate documentation, subcontractor management, permit submissions, change orders, and schedule tracking to ensure electrical construction projects are completed smoothly, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities- Support multiple project managers by assisting with procedures and activities, coordinating and planning efforts to complete documentation associated with assigned projects and maintaining a smooth workflow.
- Coordinated, reviewed, revised, drafted, and maintained contractual agreements used in the procurement, marketing, and resale of electrical construction‑related goods and services.
- Supported project management and field construction in planning for project construction, including setup of digital project files and project file setup; managed project documentation throughout the construction progress from project start through closeout.
- Tracked subcontracts and changes, prepared and maintained files, assisted in issuing change orders, monitored status; handled RFIs, counts, and pricing of change orders.
- Assisted with submittal of permit applications and inspection requests; submittal of shop drawings, samples, cut sheets, and as‑built documentation.
- Attended subcontractor meetings with and without project managers to help manage workflow of “to‑do’s” for the project's success.
- Maintained panel schedules, created submittal log, updated electrical drawings and tracked material needed.
- Recommended vendors for contract bids and awards; assisted with review of bids to ensure adherence to Guarantee Electrical Company policies and procedures.
- Managed contractors' licenses, business licenses, tax‑exempt applications, and other related items as needed.
- Performed other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in the AEC industry.
- Preferred experience working for an electrical construction contractor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High level of organization.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Must work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
- Can speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
