Traveling Superintendent – Heavy Civil Bridge/Rail

We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Superintendent with strong experience in heavy civil construction – specifically bridge and/or rail projects. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, maintaining project safety and quality standards, and ensuring work is completed on schedule. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of construction supervisory experience and thrives in a fast‑paced, travel‑based environment.

• Lead and supervise daily construction activities on bridge and rail project sites.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental requirements, and company standards.
• Monitor project progress, resolve field issues, and assist in schedule planning and updates.
• Ensure high‑quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct daily reports, document work activities, and communicate site conditions to leadership.
• Manage equipment, materials, and labor resources on‑site.
• Represent the company professionally while traveling to various project locations.

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on bridge or rail projects.
• Strong understanding of DOT standards, structural concrete, steel erection, rail work, or similar civil scopes.
• Proven ability to lead field crews and manage complex, multi‑phase construction operations.
• Excellent communication, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently and work on long‑term out‑of‑town assignments.
