Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction - St. Louis, MO

Metric Geo is partnering with a well-established heavy civil contractor in the St. Louis market to identify an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team.

This is an opportunity for a Project Manager to take ownership of major civil construction projects, drive project performance and profitability, and play a key role in the continued growth of the operation.

• Manage heavy civil projects from preconstruction through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, costs, and overall financial performance
• Lead project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and field operations
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities, DOTs, engineers, and subcontractors
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders
• Identify opportunities to improve project margins and operational efficiency
• Support estimating, bidding, and project development activities
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards
• Help develop and maintain long-term client and industry relationships

• 5+ years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects
• Background in earthwork, grading, excavation, underground utilities, paving, or site development
• Experience working on DOT, municipal, commercial, or other public-sector projects
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and change management
• Proven ability to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
