Production Art Assistant

The Production Art Assistant assists and supports all production and artistic operations. Preparing files for final production both in print and digital formats. This role requires a motivated production designer with at least 1-2 years of experience. The ideal candidate should be well-organized, possess a positive demeanor, demonstrate quick learning, pay close attention to detail, be proactive, and be open to guidance.

• Administrative Support
• Engage in departmental meetings to review processes, project updates, and other relevant topics.
• Assist in organizing Art Meetings by printing artwork files and aiding in the installation of artwork.
• Ensure that production files are systematically organized, encompassing fonts, images, logos, and various artwork.
• Create designs, graphics, and production-ready files.
• Preflight artwork for print and digital formats.
• Utilize Creative Suite in a Mac environment to develop layouts, graphics, and artwork files suitable for production.

• Develop and update packaging.
• Open and assess packages received in the creative department.
• Quickly familiarize yourself with internal processes to log and monitor projects.
• Utilize approved templates and procedures to maintain consistency.
• Collaborate with the Creative Services Manager to determine design needs and achieve outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Sustain a high level of productivity.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Anticipate potential project obstacles and offer practical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with various departments.
• Adhere to project timelines.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

• A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in graphic design or print production.
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent creative and layout skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Resourceful, adaptable, and a collaborative team player, able to work effectively both in a team setting and independently.
• Strong work ethic and a passion for excellence.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree or related discipline, or equivalent training and experience.
