- Utilize in-depth knowledge of vehicle mechanics to evaluate, investigate, and process mechanical claims with accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate via telephone and email with vehicle contract holders, repair facilities, and other parties, providing exceptional customer service while resolving claim-related requests.
- Actively listen to callers’ questions and concerns, demonstrating empathy and compassion to ensure a positive experience.
- Adhere to established department processes and use company systems to maintain detailed and accurate electronic claim records.
- Collaborate with leaders and other claim analysts to uphold the company’s reputation for honesty, fairness, and excellence in all interactions.
The main call types you will handle include:
- Dealerships calling with repairs to determine coverage under the auto warranty, using guidelines to determine if claims should be approved or denied.
- Car owners calling to understand why a claim is approved or denied.
- Car owners seeking guidance on steps to obtain a quote and determine if the repair will be covered.
Overall, you will use your mechanical knowledge to understand the issue and advise dealerships or customers on approvals, denials, and next steps in the claims process.
Skills & Qualifications- Automotive repair, claims support, customer support
- ASE certification is a plus
- All Data, Mitchell familiarity
- At least 3 years of proven experience as an automotive mechanic or in a related mechanical field
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and ability to discuss repairs with both mechanical and non-mechanical audiences
- Excellent verbal communication skills for conveying information to callers, colleagues, and stakeholders over the phone
- Customer service success, including resolving complex requests and ensuring satisfaction
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Email, Teams, Outlook) and claims processing software; ability to navigate multiple systems while assisting customers
- Detail-oriented, motivated self-starter able to work efficiently in a fast-paced call center
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
Compensation & BenefitsPay range: $25.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be limited by elections, plan terms, or program terms. Eligible benefits may include:
